Bloom woke up in a flash as he realized that he had forgotten to get a Halloween costume. He ran over to the calendar to confirm his biggest fear. It was in fact Halloween morning and he had nothing to wear for the night.
He ran downstairs, almost tripping as he went down the steps. He yelled out for his companion Jelly the bear to hear, "I'll be back soon, be good and don’t cause any trouble!". He grabbed his coat and ran out the door, heading towards the closest costume shop, hoping there would be some sort of costume left for him to get.
He ran up to the costume store called 'Aloe's Costumes and more.' As he entered he heard the familiar 'Ding Dong' of the door. Bloom looked over at Aloe, the store keep before giving a curt nod as she yelled her hello's. He walked quickly over the racks and stacks area where the costumes had once been.
He began to sift through the racks of costumes and as he did all you heard from him was "Nope, Nope, Too expensive, too bright, too small, nope, ripped, nope." in a hushed tone. As he went through the last rack he sighed in defeat. He had lost hopes in finding a costume for tonight.
Before he headed home, he stopped at the nearest gas station and grabbed a tea for him and Jelly before he made his way home. Keeping his eye out for any trouble makers this morning.
As Bloom arrives home, he opens the door to hear something crashing on the floor loudly. He dropped the tea as he bolted to where the sound had come from, his bedroom. He walked into his bedroom to find Jelly on the floor with a sheet over him. He slowly pulled the sheet off of Jelly, checking to make sure he was okay. Jelly pointed up at the costume and motioned, putting it over his head. Bloom tilted his head in confusion at Jelly's movement.
"It's a costume!" Jelly shouted up at Bloom. Bloom looked over the sheet to see that there were two little holes cut into the sheet. He chuckled as he realized it was a ghost costume like him and Jelly had made when they were younger. He pulled it over his head and made sure he had the eye holes placed correctly before looking at Jelly.
Bloom picked up Jelly, giggling before he hugged him tightly.
"Thank you Jelly, it's the perfect costume for tonight and I think we need to make another one for you!" He put down Jelly gently before he went off to find a smaller sheet for Jelly so they could be matching ghosts for Halloween tonight.
