Campfire Prompt

Nothing is more calming than the sounds of crackling embers against the quiet whisper of a fall night's wind. Belle, completely zoned out and as comfortable as ever, rests her paws against a nearby log. Many PlushDragons enjoy the activity together, singing songs and eating sugary treats, but Belle has always found comfort in having this activity by herself. Of course, she loves to hang out with other Plushes! But the constant hubbub of others around her fire keeps her from focusing on what's most important: serenity. With other Plushes around, she wouldn't be able to hear the sweet serenade of the insects and the few nocturnal avians. The movement of others would distract her from the softness of the soon-frosting grass, trodden down by other Plushes playing in the fields. And, most importantly, the refreshing frosty night air would go unnoticed.

After thinking about all of these beautiful fall night qualities, Belle puts out her fire, getting ready for a sweet sleep. Chirps and songs of the animals of the night put her to bed, leaves and love swirling in her dreams.

Not long after drifting to sleep, Belle wakes up in a sudden jolt. She realizes how cold it's gotten without the fire ablaze, only having the comfort of a few listful coals to light the field. Many other nights Belle would have been scared, but after a few minutes, she realizes the night isn't as dark as she'd thought after waking up. The moon, full and bright, lights up the entire field and the forests around her. She stretches, finally pushing out the last feelings of sleepiness, and makes her way back home.
