Jade tumbled over the hills, laughing and sliding, kicking up powdered snow in a flurry around them. "Can't catch me!" they yelled to their friends, standing cheekily on top of a snowbank. Before they managed to get too cocky though, they were thwacked in the face with a rather large snowball. "Hey!" they giggled, protesting. "Sorry, it was too easy!" Cece called. “Oh yeah? Well, you’re forgetting something,” they said, struggling to keep a grin off their face. Their friend Scooby raised her head from where she was rolling in the snow and made a questioning woof. “I have the high ground!” Jade declared, proceeding to pelt Cece with snowballs as they both yelped and laughed. “Thanks for spending time with me guys, this has been fun,” they said after catching their breath, gazing at their friends with an earnest expression on their face. "It's getting dark though, we should probably go inside soon,” Cece remarked. "You’re right,” they sighed, ”but we have to convince Scooby to go too," they said, glancing over at their friend who was currently rolling in the snow, tail wagging furiously, making an oddly-shaped snow angel. "Hey Scooby, we're going inside now, wanna come?" Scooby grumbled disgruntledly, not wanting to leave the winter wonderland just yet. "We'll have hot cocoa!" Cece added. This seemed to cheer her up almost instantly, and she happily trotted alongside them. Barreling through the doorway and thudding down on the mat, they all began to remove their copious layers of winter clothes and shake the snow from their fabric and fur. Not long later, their friends had all dozed off by the fire, and they were curled up in the window nook with their cup of cocoa; warmth in their body and heart, watching the snowflakes flutter to the ground.
