Gummi had been wanting to meet up with Blue to talk about becoming a Paladin. He'd always been ready to show his strength and had finally decided to use it. He'd heard that Blue was at the coast, watching a beast. He hoped this would be the perfect time to show Blue what he had to offer. Gummi had hurried to catch up to Blue. Finally finding him he almost couldn't help himself. His tail wagged as he ran up to him, before stopping a few paces behind him to walk up with a more, cool, air about him.
"Hey Blue, I heard there's some enormous creature out there. What do you think it is?" Gummi asked, hoping he didn't sound too eager. Wanting Blue to respect him.
Blue looked at him, before looking back at the water, "It is a hammerhead." He said. "Interested in helping me?" He asked.
"Yes absolutely, Sir," Gummi responded wondering just what Blue would have him do.
Blue chuckled lightly, though worried that Gummi's eagerness may be something that got him into trouble. "I want to help it, I think it's only this close to the coast cause it's wounded. Otherwise, it'd stay further out and not be a threat." Blue explained. "Some monsters don't need slain."
Gummi looked at him a bit shocked before nodding with thought.
"That is some wise words." Gummi said, "Yes of course, how can I help?"
Blue smiled at him before it faded again, "Aye, we need to get onto a boat, so we can get closer- Try to earn its trust so we can see what's wrong with it."
Gummi nodded and started following Blue down to the dock where he had a boat ready, it had supplies they may need.
Once on the boat, Blue started sailing them toward the hammerhead.
The work was hard, and Gummi was worn out, but Blue was right, the hammerhead had been wounded. It had something stuck in its mouth causing lots of pain. So with lots of tugging and careful movements, they freed the bone shard stuck in its gums out. The Hammerhead once it realized it wasn't in pain anymore, swam around the boat and accepted the treats Blue brought for them.
