Eerie sighed, walking back into his kitchen. Recently he had helped Sybil create a new item for their shop and it had given him an itch he hadn't quite felt before. It wasn't that he was particular fond of magic or the happenings behind it, but something about this time felt different. He wasn't sure if it was the rush of finding the perfect ingredient, the excitement of seeing the potion come together, or maybe just the happiness he had felt for finally being included.
Walking over to his counters, he began searching through them for something he could use to recreate that feeling. He eyed some different herbs and spices and gathered them into his large, worn paws. After carrying them to the kitchen table, he let them sprawl from his grasp before turning to hunt down a bowl big enough to experiment with. Eventually he found an old, beat up cooking pot shoved way back into the corner oh his highest cabinet. "This will work," he thought to himself.
He set his makeshift cauldron down on the stove, trying to remember exactly how Sybil had done this themself. He filled the pot with water and turned his stone on, nodding in satisfaction at his homemade potion brewing station. He retrieved some of the herbs from the counter and gently dropped different ones into the liquid that he thought might do... well, anything really. When he finished, he stepped back to wait. And wait. And wait some more.
After what felt like an eternity, a strange scent began to fill his home. He narrowed his eyes, letting the sweet scent fill his senses. He turned his flame down and gently lowered his head to inspect the concoction more carefully. As he leaned back again, he let out a small laugh. He hadn't quite created a potion, but the tea that he had made sure smelled magical!
