After exploring the freezing tundra of the mountains, Umbra backtracks to where she had first seen the footprints: the mouth of the cave. She can hear the frigid wind filling up the cave, an almost ethereal growl. Umbra, even with her love of the dark, feels intimidated by the endless murky cave. Slowly, carefully, she pads into the maw. The sound of dripping water reverberates around the cave. Even though Umbra is quite the lone wolf, she feels uncomfortably lonely in the cave. Nothing but the sound of pitter-patter and the soft scraping of her own paws accompanies her.

A bit of exploring has passed by, and Umbra begins to see a light ahead of her; is this the end of the cave? Already? It has been a long walk, but the cave sounded so much bigger. As she gets closer, the rose-pink colored light gets more and more blinding. One, two, and three blinks later, Umbra finds herself in a new stunning place. It seems as if she is inside a giant geode with sunshine from the outside filtering in through gaping holes in the cave's ceiling. Light fractures off of pink gemstones, creating beautiful shapes on the walls. A frozen river divides the cavern floor in half, and the trickling from the river can still be heard from under the thin layer of ice. Completely engrossed in the beauty, Umbra sits at the edge of the river.

*step step, tumble*

Umbra whips her head around, who is this little fellow? She sees a poofy friend out of the corner of her eyes.. or at least what she hopes to be a poofy friend. He seems to have tumbled out from behind a rock pile! Maybe they can share these beautiful crystals together.
